Caoimhe Hoey is a Specialist in Podiatric Sports Medicine and an Orthopaedic
Surgical Assistant at the Bons Secours Hospital Galway. She graduated from the University of Ireland Galway with a degree in Podiatry in 2018.

Subsequent to this she completed her MSc in Queen Mary University of London in Sports and Exercise Medicine becoming one of a handful of Podiatrists to graduate with an MSc in SEM.

She is currently engaged in research with collaborations in London, Aspetar and Melbourne and has recently published two papers on foot morphology and football boots. Caoimhe also guest lectures on the Podiatric Medicine undergraduate degree in the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Her special interests include lower limb biomechanics, sports injuries and their treatment, in particular football medicine.

When she is not treating and triaging patients in the clinic here in the Bons she is first assist to Prof. Stephen Kearns and other Orthopaedic Surgeons in theatre.
